Terms & conditions

This website is run by the committee of Hameediya Masjid, Khajipur. It exists to serve the congregation of this masjid — to publish our announcements, show what donations have paid for, teach our children, and receive contributions towards the masjid's work.

All donations are voluntary. A donation is a gift to the masjid, not a payment for goods or services, and nothing is provided in exchange for it.

When you choose a fund — Zakat, Sadaqah, Construction and Repairs, General, or Masjid Support — the committee will apply your donation to that purpose. Zakat is held separately and distributed only to those eligible to receive it under the sharia rulings on zakat. Where a fund's need has been fully met, the committee may apply the remainder to the masjid's general work, and will say so publicly.

A one-time donation is a single payment. A monthly donation is also a single payment, together with your request that we email you a reminder each month. We do not set up any mandate, standing instruction or auto-debit on your account, and no money is ever taken from you without you completing a payment yourself. Every reminder email carries a link that stops the reminders at once.

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or banking credentials. A PDF receipt is emailed to you automatically once a payment is confirmed.

If you pay directly to our UPI ID or bank account, your donation is recorded as awaiting verification until a committee member matches your reference against the masjid's bank statement. Your receipt is issued at that point, normally within a day or two. Until then, the acknowledgement you receive is not a receipt.

Please retain your receipt for your records. Any tax treatment of your donation is a matter between you and the tax authorities.

Donations are not ordinarily refundable, since the money is committed to the masjid's work as soon as it is received. If you have made a genuine mistake — the wrong amount, a duplicate payment, or a payment you did not intend — contact us at info@hameediyamasjid.com within seven days and the committee will consider it sympathetically and refund where it reasonably can. Where a refund is agreed, it is returned to the account the payment came from. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy, at /refund-policy, sets out when refunds are given, how to ask, and how long they take, and forms part of these terms.

Classes are provided free for the benefit of the community. Please join with the same manners you would bring to the masjid itself. Recording, photographing or redistributing a class without the teacher's permission is not allowed, and class links are for the students they were shared with. The committee may remove anyone from a class.

Parents are responsible for their children's use of these classes.

Announcements, project updates and contribution records are published in good faith and are correct as far as the committee knows at the time. Prayer timings are those followed at this masjid and may change; the announcements page carries any change.

If the committee has given you an account on this system, keep your password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has it. Accounts are for the committee's work only.

The committee may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
