Prayer hall expansion — phase one under way

Work on the prayer hall extension has begun. Phase one covers the foundations, the structural frame and the new wudu area, and adds capacity for roughly 120 more worshippers — something we badly need for Jumu'ah and taraweeh. Planning permission was granted in the spring after a lengthy consultation with the council, and we are working with a contractor who has built for three other masjids in the region. Phase two, which covers the interior fit-out and the new entrance, will begin once phase one is fully funded. Donations to the Construction fund go directly to this project.
